Bio
Hisashi Yoshida is Senior Manager for R&D Global Alignment at NTT DATA Corporation, Research & Development HQ department. He achieved a MSE (Master of Software Engineering)/MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Engineering from Keio University. His expertise areas are
Software and Systems Engineering, Application Performance Design and Test. He has more than 20 years of experience in technology research and development for NTT DATA. His engineering research experience includes software architecting of reusable SCM (Supply-Chain Management Systems), and designing & testing ultra high-performance web/e-mail gateway for mobile telecom. He also worked as expat to government institution for inter-company & industry wide collaborative research initiatives. Most
recently, he guided the standardization and dissemination initiatives of software systems development in Japan coordinating IT services firms, university, and governmental institutions. He received Good Design award for organizational design of this initiative. Since 2010 he is responsible for technology trend research, now called NTT DATA Technology Foresight, and is also responsible for many global R&D and
innovation efforts in NTT DATA. His recent projects include, SmartICU (predictive alerting research & development for doctors and nurses in Intensive Care Unit), hitoe (wearable technology to capture vital signs like ECG/EMG/EEG), and artificial intelligence used for diagnosis support.
