The University of Genoa enriches its extensive educational offerings with two professionally oriented degree programs:

  • Industrial Technologies
  • Building and Land Use Technologies.

These are two three-year degrees, offered as part of the Polytechnic School of Engineering and Architecture, which enable the completion of the professional training of Diplomates and will represent from 2024 the only qualifying path to the professions of Graduate Industrial Technologist and Graduate Surveyor/Building Technologist respectively (Law 163/2021).

Compared to the ITS training pathway, which is two-year and equivalent to European level 5 (European Qualification Network), the University of Genoa's vocationally oriented three-year degree programs award a European level 6 qualification, which is recognized throughout Europe by companies, public bodies and professional firms.

In addition to theoretical classes, limited to a little more than one academic year, the didactic structuring includes laboratory activities covering a large number of training credits (at least 48/60 cfu) and, during the third year, a professionalizing internship for a total of 750-1200 hours to be carried out in companies, professional firms and/or public or private administrations, whose experience will be put to use in the preparation of the final qualifying test.
