Dear students and kind students,

We welcome you to the Department of Political Science and to the degree courses that are part of it, at the beginning of this academic year 2020/21, which we hope will be full of satisfaction for all of you, but which presents itself as a very special year.

Due to the prevention measures against the spread of COVID-19, in fact, the lessons of the first semester will all take place at a distance, while the activities in attendance will be limited to some welcome and orientation meetings, especially for the first year students who make their debut at the university at this delicate time, and, if conditions permit, to some seminar activities for small groups.

Distance teaching has been a painful choice for all of us, but it has been shared with the University's governing bodies, after extensive debates that have seen the vast majority of school principals, department heads and course coordinators throughout the University oriented in this way.

We therefore consider it fundamental to share with you all the reasons and causes of this choice, which we naturally hope to be able to revoke for the second semester, if the pandemic trend will allow it.
