UniGe participates in the Global Photo Contest

Biodiversity in the university: UniGe participates in the Global Photo Contest of the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN) in which it is a partner.

We invite our entire community to observe and document the richness of the ecosystems that coexist with academic spaces, highlighting the balance between the natural environment and urban infrastructure.

The key points of the initiative:

  • valuing and mapping biodiversity on campuses through the eyes of those who live them every day
  • international visibility: the shots selected by an international jury will be displayed in a global touring exhibition that will touch partner campuses throughout 2026
  • the exhibition will be officially opened in Cape Town, at the ISCN Conference (21-23 April 2026).

The contest is open to our entire community: students, teaching and technical-administrative staff and visitors. All you need to do is send in a photo depicting an element of biodiversity in the university context (plants, animals, habitats), accompanied by a short description.

The deadline is 28 February 2026 - to participate: woobox.com - for info: unigesustainable.unige.it
