Beatrice Ena, a UniGe student from the degree course in Product and Communication Design, won the FSC® Italy 2023-2024 Award with her "La Dolce Vita" project, chosen from over 800 competing projects from around 20 nationalities.
. The award was assigned to her during the final of the 6th edition of Ideasxwood, the world's most important contest in the wood sector, promoted by TABU S.p.a and sponsored by ADI - Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, Federlegno Arredo and FSC® Italia: an international competition of ideas aimed at both the university student community and designers of all ages.

The jury was chaired by Silvia Piardi, honorary professor at the Milan Polytechnic, and comprised seventeen members including architects, journalists and exponents of associations in the wood-furniture sector.

This is the second year in a row that a UniGe student has won the award of the Forest Stewardship Council (or briefly FSC®), an international non-profit NGO that has created a forest certification system recognised worldwide for environmentally friendly, socially useful and economically sustainable management.
