Meetings - "Ovidian Iconographies: Christian Readings and Moral Interpretations" by Alice Vigliotti - Thursday, 27 March, 5.00 p.m.
On Thursday 27 March at 5:00 p.m., the VI Cycle of Lectures by Young Scholars from the University of Genoa continues at the Diocesan Museum.
This second appointment will see Dr. Alice Vigliotti - who graduated with Prof. Laura Stagno - "take the chair" with the lecture "Ovidian Iconographies: readings in a Christian key and moral interpretations".
The topic of the thesis concerns the vast and complex theme of the moralised Ovidian iconographies and the vernacularisations of Ovid's Metamorphoses, focusing on their interpretations in a Christian and moral key.
The Lectures initiative was created with the aim of giving voice to young graduates from, in particular, the Bachelor's Degree Course in Cultural Heritage and the Master's Degree Course in History of Art and Enhancement of the Artistic Heritage of the University of Genoa.
The cycle, organised in collaboration with the DIRAAS department (Department of Italianistics, Romanistics, Antiquarianism, Arts and Performing Arts) of the University of Genoa, is an opportunity for these young scholars to face, often for the first time, an audience of "non-specialists" to whom they can illustrate the results of their research work.
The poster of the event is available in attachment.
