SMID turns 25

The degree course in Mathematical Statistics and Informatics Data Processing (SMID)celebrates 25 years with a special programme of initiatives combining research, orientation and disclosure: 

• the workshop MAST - Mathematical STatistics for complex data, a series of scientific meetingsdedicated to the new challenges of complex data analysis, from biomedicine to dynamic networks, up to the most topical issues related to artificial intelligence
• the experiences of the SMID course alumni, who return to the department to recount their own professional journey, sharing stories, choices and opportunities that arose thanks to the training they received
• the festivalfor networking and, for the youngest children, statistical-mathematical workshops organised by the Associazione Didattica Museale
• "Statistician's professions", the tried-and-tested format in which experts from different fields and SMID graduates talk about their own careers, showing how statistical skills can be applied in very different areas
• the popularisation meeting "When data tell...", with the participation of Donata Columbro, journalist and data humanizer
• a meeting place for students, graduates and companies, to get to know first-hand experiences and possibilities in the world of data
