The University of Genoa is hosting, at the Albergo dei Poveri, the 35th National Congress of S.It.E. – the Italian Society of Ecology, entitled "50 years of SItE: roots, prospects and new challenges for ecology".
Over 280 participants will discuss the main challenges facing contemporary ecological research: climate change, biodiversity loss, the functioning of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, ecosystem services, natural capital, One Health, ecological restoration and sustainable development.
The conference is organised by the Department of Earth, Environmental and Life Sciences – DISTAV at the University of Genoa, in collaboration with the CNR – National Research Council and the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station – Genoa Marine Centre.
