The highest professional awards at European level for anesthesiology and intensive care have been attributed for the first time to an Italian resuscitative anesthesiologist: Prof. Paolo Pelosi was awarded the Life time Honorary Membership and Fellowship Diploma of the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) during the Opening Ceremony of Euroanaesthesia 2021.
