An important international acknowledgement for the University of Genoa: Carlo Traverso, one of the world's leading experts on glaucoma, has been awarded the Manfred Bootz Prize 2026, given to a person who stands out for significant contributions in the research and treatment of this disease, one of the main causes of irreversible blindness.
This is the first time that the Manfred Bootz Prize has been awarded to an Italian scholar.
